How to use the Avada Review Reminder Feature
Last Update: September 22, 2026
Review Reminders automatically email your WooCommerce customers a little while after their order is complete, asking them to leave a review for the products they bought. It’s a hands–off way to build up product reviews without having to chase customers yourself.
Turning it on
Go to Avada → Options → Sales → Review Reminder and switch on Review Reminder. That’s all that’s required — once enabled, every order that reaches the Completed status will be scheduled for a reminder email automatically.
If an order is later cancelled, refunded, or marked as failed, any reminder still waiting to be sent for that order is cancelled too.
Review Reminders (and every other automated email — campaigns, price alerts, abandoned cart recovery) rely on a separate master Emails switch under Avada → Options → Marketing → Emails. If that’s off, no emails go out at all, regardless of this setting.
Setting it up
Once enabled, two more settings appear:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Review Reminder Delay (Days) | How many days to wait after an order is completed before sending the reminder. Defaults to 7, and can be set anywhere from 1 to 365. |
| Review Reminder Consent | Whether completing an order is enough consent to send the reminder (Implicit, the default), or whether the customer has to explicitly opt in first (Explicit). |
Implicit vs. Explicit consent
Implicit treats completing an order as consent to be reminded to review it — no extra action is needed from the customer.
Explicit requires consent to be given first, through either (or both) of:
In Explicit mode, customers who never gave consent simply won’t receive a reminder for their order.
What the customer receives
The reminder is an email with the subject “How was your order #[order number]?”, headlined “We’d love your feedback!”, thanking the customer for their order and showing the product(s) from that specific order, each with a Leave a Review button that takes them straight to that product’s review form.
Every reminder email also includes an Unsubscribe from review reminders link, so a customer can opt out of future reminders without affecting any other emails they receive from your store.
You can customize the design and wording of this email at any time — see “Managing reminders” below, or find it listed as Review Reminder under your site’s system emails.
Managing reminders
Go to Avada → Sales → Review Reminders to see every reminder that has been scheduled or sent. The page shows:
You can search by email, name, or order number, and filter by status or date range.
For each reminder, you can:
Use the Edit Email button at the top of the page to change the subject, design, or wording of the reminder email itself.
Privacy
Review Reminders appear in your site’s privacy tools as a listed data-collection feature, described to visitors as “Emails you a reminder to review a product after your order arrives.” If you use a consent banner, you can choose which consent category this feature falls under from Avada → Options → Privacy & Consent → Data Collection.
