How to use Avada Dynamic Display Options

Dynamic Display
Dynamic Display lets you show or hide any element on a page based on what a specific visitor is doing right now — whether they have items in their cart, whether a product is on their wishlist, whether they qualify for free shipping, and similar real–time shopping states. Because it checks the visitor’s own live session, the same page can look different for different people without you having to build separate pages for each scenario.
A common use is showing a “Continue to Checkout” banner only once something is in the cart, swapping a button’s wording once a product is already on a customer’s wishlist, or highlighting a free–shipping message only once a shopper’s cart total qualifies for it.
Where to find it
Dynamic Display is available on every element, not just a specific one. Select any element to open its options panel, then open the Extras tab. You’ll see two separate condition builders there:
- Conditional Rendering — decides whether the element is included in the page at all.
- Dynamic Display — decides whether the element is shown or hidden based on live cart/wishlist-type activity, and can react instantly without reloading the page.
This article covers Dynamic Display. Use it whenever the condition depends on something that can change while the visitor is already on the page — adding a product to their cart, for example — since it updates immediately. If the condition instead depends on something that’s already fixed when the page loads, Conditional Rendering is the better fit.
Setting up a condition
- Open the element’s options panel and go to the Extras tab.
- Under Dynamic Display, click + Add New Logic.
- From Select A Condition Type, choose what you want to check (see the full list below).
- Choose a comparison — the options change depending on the condition type you picked.
- Enter or select the value to compare against.
You can add more than one condition with additional clicks of + Add New Logic. When you have more than one, choose AND (every condition must be true) or OR (any one condition being true is enough) to control how they’re combined.

Wishlist, Price Tracker, and Compare conditions only appear once those features are active on your site.
Using the Switch condition
The Switch condition type is different from the others: rather than checking shopping activity, it checks the on/off state of a Switch Element elsewhere on the same page. Enter that Switch element’s name in the Switch Name field, then compare it to Yes or No. This lets a visitor’s own toggle choice control whether other elements on the page appear.
Things to know
- Dynamic Display conditions react live — if a visitor adds a product to their cart without leaving the page, an element using a Cart Status or Cart Item Count condition can appear or disappear immediately.
- If your site uses server–side page caching, a cached copy of the page may show the wrong initial state for a new visitor until the live check catches up. This is expected, and worth keeping in mind when testing with caching enabled.
