Summertime is here! In this installment, we will share Avada 8.0 progress and the latest Avada milestones with the broader community.

Avada 8 May Progress Update

Following on from the May Roadmap post, our team has been focused on optimization and the new Options Network. See some of the details below.

The Options Network Has Been Rebuilt From Scratch

From version 8, all Avada options will use a new Options API our team has built. TheGlobal, Elements, and Post Options will use the same underlying framework for consistency and overall performance improvements. Only values changed from the default state will be saved to the database, vastly reducing the amount of data that needs to be stored in it.

This new Options API will make it easier and faster for developers to extend Avada’s functionality.

What is exciting is that the new Options UI will speed up the design process and vastly improve its intuitive workflow.

It is too early in the development process to give an exact ETA for Avada 8. Before release, we will have a public Beta and full launch announcements. 8 Will be the next major update; however, in the meantime, more maintenance releases will be pushed out.
